Linen Pants and Seersucker Top

This has got to be one of my favorite summer sews in a long time. One of my favorite things abut sewing is seeing something that I really like and being able to create it for my shape. This complete fit right here is the perfect example.

If you have been following my sewing journey, you know that I am on the path of creating the perfect pant for my shape. Purchasing pants from the store has always been a struggle for me. The difference between my waist and hips is not something that most RTW clothes offer. My previous procedure would be to purchase a pair of pants (spending $60 to $70 dollars) and then taking them to my tailor to fit the waist (paying another $30 dollars)...so you can see how that can add up.

Learning to sew has been a game changer for me.

I saw this complete look online and was like this is me all day. From there I thought about what patterns I could use to recreate the look. The pants are a course in @mimigstyle @sewitacademy, which I will never graduate from (lol). This was put into one of the courses as a jogger but this pant is everything for all materials. The fit for me is perfect and I will be making it in all fabrics. The top is Mimi G's Simplicity 9597 pattern. For the top I just made the dress as a top and I love it!.

This set speaks summer all day long! Check out my inspiration photo and let me know how you think I did.
