Sexy Dress/Duster KnowMe 2007

I love this pattern. I can not say enough. This dress is easy to make, comfortable, and hugs in all the right places. I went with this print that I have been eyeing online for a while and when I saw this pattern I knew this was the material for the dress. I was a little hesitant when purchasing the rib Knit fabric because there are so many colors in this print and I was trying to match just one...all online, but it worked out perfectly.

You will see the versatility of this pattern as I styled it with jeans and a cardigan and some heels for a different look. I have already started working on another version of this pattern. I am in love!

"The Dets"

I cut a size 18 for the top and a 20 for the skirt. Now, I did not check the pattern jacket for the finished garment measurements. I really needed the next pattern down and a 16 would have been perfect.

Once I completed the dress, I went in and took about 2 inches in the waist on each site to give a more fitted look. Other than that, which was my mistake, it was a good fit...waist to hip will always be an issue for me because the measurements are so very different.

I would definitely make this again. The only thing I would change is a longer zipper. The pattern requires a 30-inch zipper, I would probably do a 35-inch zipper for the next one.
